Joomla 8 will be released in 4 years. The production department of Open Source Matters (OSM), the organisation behind the project Joomla, held a 3-day sprint about the upcoming releases.

Sigrid gives us some insights about this “Joomla 8 Sprint” that happened in September 2025. How it was prepared, who took part, what were the challenges and what is the outcome. Do we have a plan now, even a strategy?

## About the Speaker:
Sigrid Gramlinger is the Production Department Coordinator for Joomla and runs her own web agency in Austria. She has been an active member of the Joomla community since 2006, contributing to the German-speaking Joomla community, JoomlaDay events, and Joomla User Group Vienna.
